I am a Chartered physiotherapist with 20 years of experience in assessment, treatment and management of physical health conditions.
I completed my Physiotherapy degree in Auckland, New Zealand. I moved to the UK in 2003 and worked for the NHS as well as private practice across a number of disciplines. I have specialised in rehabilitation, completing my Masters in Rehabilitation at St Georges University, London, in 2009, with distinction.
I have a passion to see individuals achieve their goals following injury, surgery or illness restoring their health and wellbeing through a holistic approach. My master in rehabilitation provides me with a unique perspective to view the individual as a whole, promoting healing within the body, restoring movement and ensuring a maximum return to all the activities they enjoy.
I have worked in a variety of settings under the NHS, including acute hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation units and providing home visits in the community. Privately I have worked as a rehabilitation physiotherapist making use of face-to-face as well as online platforms to complete my sessions.
Areas of specific expertise include musculoskeletal injury (e.g., tendinopathy, muscle injury, joint sprains, back injury etc), rehabilitation post-surgery (joint replacements/repairs, tendon repairs, abdominal/pelvic surgery), neurological rehabilitation (e.g., post stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease etc), Women’s Health (ante-natal, post-natal recovery, continence therapy) and health and well-being in later life.
Each individual receives a thorough assessment and a tailored treatment plan to suit supported by wide range of treatment modalities that are continually monitored and adjusted to support the individuals progress and capabilities.
